[Post-] Birthday lunch @ Nando’s Autocity

Look at my face. If you think it’s a happy thing about turning 27 at this point of time, then think again.

A bitter smile of a 27 year old who’s still in denial about her true age. But hey, yesterday I went to cheer myself up and forget the sad fact that I’ve been one year older, in Autocity, or precisely, at Nando’s.

I was wishing for something simple yet I loved (and something you cannot find in the campus in towns nearby) like Subway or Domino’s pizza or Baskin Robbin’s milkshake.. but my roommate suggested Nando’s, and since it’s her who was driving us to Juru, so I just agreed. I dont know if I fancy Nando’s so much, the only time I had dined Nando’s was during one of Iris’ staff farewell party back in the working year.

We had typical peri-peri chicken and soup and iced chocolate, which wasn’t too bad, even though it was a bit more expensive than I had planned to spend that day. Anyways. It was nevertheless good, when you dont actually find these fine restaurants everyday and rather been eating boring food in the campus all times and nearby towns are practically hopeless. Driving half an hour the highway to Juru is usually worth it when you actually eat alot there, hehehe.

OK lah, I really dont know why I’ve not been that much excited about blogging anymore.. probably you have noticed it. I’m only keeping track  of significant things here for the sake of diary of my life, and stop blogging about crappy stuff. Good thing that Project Alpha is over now :P

Korean Buffet at Seoul Garden

Early this year I already blogged about this Korean BBQ & Steamboat buffet restaurant in Autocity Juru when we had class makan-makan party :) (read here). It was my first time dining there, and my second time was yesterday, when the roommates and I wanted to have some good time eating together while all of are still here (some of us are graduating this semester, so it’s like a farewell party to them plus our celebration for finishing final exam and plus K.Haiza’s birthday – okay, was on 2nd May actually but that time all of us were too busy with exam and projects so.)

Food variety at Seoul Garden: Different types of meat, fish, chicken, squid, prawns for BBQ grill (a lot of spice and flavor variety to choose), fish/meatballs and steamboat nuggets, vegetables, icecream, fruit, dessert – can make your own fruit salad, cendol, all the sweet stuff. Also, soft drinks and juice.

The 2-in1 grill pan and steamboat maker. Yum, the soup for steamboat can be chosen from a few flavors like Ginseng, Tom Yam, herbs etc. I dunno why but everytime I came here people automatically opt for Tom Yam. So there come the process of grilling meats and refilling stamboat pot and eating like mad and refilling again continuously for as many hours you can.. the lunch buffet time starts from 11am to 4.30pm.

I made my own Lai chi kang :)) which is the most delicious in the universe :D Couldnt help but finishing 2 bowls in a row. Also ice cream.. yum! Although, I must admit after the cold dessert, I barely managed to continue eating no more. >.<

The blueberry cheese cake which we had to bring back rather than finishing it there, coz we were *too* full and there was totally no space for cake T_T.. BTW the dining area is pretty nice here, I must say. The staff are also constantly helping should you need to change the grill pan or refill the soup. The only thing not favorable is you have to bear with smoke from the grill coz it’s right on your dining table.. so your tudung & clothes will end up smelling BBQ :P

Az, next time you come here I’ll bring you makan at Seoul Garden kay? ^_^

Pearl Anniversary dinner out

Photos from last week I didn’t manage to upload earlier. Since the 30th Anniversary fell on the same day as the CNY (apart of Valentine’s), it was appropriate to dine Chinese food :D (though not everything tasted so Chinese..), but I just LOVE the seaweed soup! As a side note, Mama said 14 February in 1980 happened to be Chinese New Year day just as well.

** Ipah was not in the event :P
