[mobile post] I love love LOVE Saudi Mobily 3G internet.. so darn cheap and fast!

8.14pm, 16 Zulhijjah 1429. I am now sitting at the Marwah endpoint, have just finished doing Saie, hereby completing my final Haj task.

I DID IT! YAY!

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin. Hope You’ll accept ilyani’s Haj please. TQ. You’re great. I love You.

And I’m getting better :) still coughing here and there but the pain is practically gone.

Tomorrow I’m definitely going for shopping, I need to get a neat dress I can go around pretending as an Arab woman. Har har.

1001 events, 1001 emotions

[mobile post]

That I hardly could describe. Only God knows and only Him who could explain why things keep happening in such a magically strange way, that nobody would expect it could happen in anywhere but here. And this applies to both good events and bad events.

And only at times like this, you will realize how powerful He is. How He really does exist to listen to your prayers and make it true in instance. Also, how He really is able to punish you in instance just as well.

To put it in a simple sentence, right now for past few days I have been the sickest I ever felt in my entire life. I dont want to question why it happened this time, I cant blame the weather, I cant blame the dusty air. It is my punishment.

About the Hajj. I have done Wuquf at Arafat, which happened to have its own magical events also. Have done mabit in Muzdalifah to pick small stones, and 3 times to throw the Jamrat in Mina. Big tasks need big patience. Back to Makkah, and now I am waiting to do two last parts, while getting some rest.

Until next post. When hopefully I will be better. And Happy (belated) Eid.

Hello world!

I am here.

Yes. I mean I AM here.

Arrived in Jeddah airport 10pm local time on Thursday, and right now I have been in Makkah for almost one week. I can’t write much now coz the internet in this hotel is damn expensive, though I can get online on my mobile via Saudi’s Mobily (it’s much reliable than Celcom broadband, sigh) to check my emails and write on WordPress, I can’t upload pictures with mobile! (or maybe there’s a way, but I have yet to find out). And apart of the glorious Masjidil Haram itself, and the Kaabah, I am endlessly amazed by bunch of people here, we’re getting 2millions or more filling up Makkah by this day and the number is increasing like crazy.. people are still coming from every angle of the world until the Hajj session starts which will be a few days before Eid. Every prayer time those 4 floors are always full and even the mosque yards and on the street are full with people praying, it’s like real HUGE feast and even though you don’t like crowds but THIS crowd is like pure heaven! I am glad I am in the middle of this busy Holy city in this particular time. Alhamdulillah.

I want to write more and put more pictures but I don’t have much time I have to run. See yeh.

Hajj: The preparation (sort of..)

If things are going well we’ll be leaving for Saudi Arabia on 25th November. Though we’ve checked that my parents names were in the list of those who are accepted to do Hajj this season (and my name was literally added as well), with the departure and return dates and trip number whatsoever, you can never be so sure with this Malaysia’s government body in charge for Hajj pilgrimage fund and management a.k.a Tabung Haji. By last minute it’s not too impossible for them to say the quota is already full, and you have to wait for next year’ season. Needless to say, Hajj candidates from Kelantan in this season alone are more than 3000 in number, and there are 14 states in Malaysia, you do the maths. And it’s only one country, imagine Makkah will be filled with people from I dont know how many countries.

In the meantime, I have done the thing about Hajj passport and visa, the medical checkup (some antibody injection – ouch!), and umm nothing much else officially. I have done watching the videos, but so lazy to finish the books. There will be a few stages to complete the Hajj, and those which I must study well. Oh and I haven’t done the shopping yet, especially the suitcase. And I feel like asking my dad to buy a new camcorder for this trip :)

Yesterday I have cut my hair short. It will be easy to take care within the Ihram restriction period, which will be long coz we’ll be doing Ifraad Hajj. Now I look like this:

Edit later: Nope, we are *not* gonna do Ifraad Hajj actually, Tabung Haji changed our flight to be earlier (20th Nov).
