The Chronicles of Furnishing Serviced Apartment: The Beds

Ta-da! So we’ve got the beds.. when initially we wanted to have 1 queen-sized and 1 single bed, it ended up with two queen size beds to fit in this room! Coz.. I wanted both beds to be matched and identical, hence the difficulty to get a set when they’re different size. Plus these are awesomely discounted so Mama was like, “there are many other units having 1 big bed +1 small bed combo but nobody had TWO big beds yet.. and this idea could well suit a family” so hehehe senang cerita we get two queen sized beds lah. There’s no rule we have to follow in furnishing anyway, so we can do whatever we like ^_^. Okay, maybe the remaining space is no longer that spacious but I guess we’ll manage to fix a sofa and coffee table in it :)

Still wrapped, and they’re the first stuff to arrive in the furnishing process. The electrical stuff have been purchased as well but hadnt been sent yet by Tuesday (my last day at home) so I only sempat to witness the beds.. maybe when I go home again next week for Hari Raya holiday everything will be completed and we can start overnight here :D

So my friends and readers, if you happen to visit Kota Bharu or have any friends and relatives traveling to here and are looking for a neat accommodation in the heart of the town, you’re welcome to stay in my hotel!

Stay tuned for my furnishing updates! ^_^

p.s. I forgot to take pic of the hotel apartment, but here’s one from Google:

Chantique Villa Hotel Apartment, Kelantan Trade Center, Kota Bharu.

Mission: to furnish a service apartment

One of the reasons I’m at home right now. We’ve got the key for a studio-sized service apartment in Kelantan Trade Center (KTC) tower, here in Kota Bharu, to get excited with furnishing plan. You can call it a private hotel room, so now that Mama bought a unit, and she wants me to manage it.. hmm, starting from furnishing maybe, and later promote it and get people stay in it. I’m even planning to make a website for it. Oh well.

The unit we bought looks almost untouched, regardless the hotel apartment has been running for about a year, and we’ve seen some other units that are already in business, beautifully furnished and going, rates are from RM130 to RM250 per night, according to room type (studio, 1-room, 2-rooms), size and beds. Some are available for weekly and monthly rent. Ours is spacious enough to fit 1 queen-sized bed and a large single bed and a sofa, and still there’ll be space left for prayer area and TV cabinet. And perhaps a small dining table for two. Views over the balcony isn’t too amusing at the moment, with the next door Perdana Hotel having renovation which I dont know when it will be over. By the way, we’re in floor 3.

All service apartments here are equipped with a small kitchen. We’re thinking if it’s too necessary to fix a kitchen cabinet there, which costs alot more than if you buy a readymade kitchen cabinet. Same goes for this space next to the main door, which looks perfect for a built-in wardrobe, yet we can reduce costs by only getting a neat readymade from Courts Mammoth. The bathroom doesnt need much extra furnishing, I guess. And we still need to look for lamps, fans, aircond, water heater and some electrical stuff for the kitchen. Each of other units that we had a look typically has a fridge, microwave, kettle and rice cooker. And one even had an induction stove in the kitchen!

Okay, I’ll update later how my furnishing go :)

Az in KB, and other stuff.

Hullo. I’m alive and kicking. Just too busy to blog. Busy of what? Busy enjoying happiness :) (eh poyo..)

Ok lah, summarized version only.

1) Az in Kota Bharu

Az was here for 3 days, meeting my parents, seeing places, having fun, and eating like mad. I am so much relieved that the meet-up and his visit went well, Alhamdulillah. I cant describe in words of how excited I was and being the first timer in the family to finally introduce my other-half to the parents has actually been really awkward, needless to say the sudden expectations from people. I dont feel like writing in details about this coz there are heaps to write and I’m so lazy, therefore I’m just telling you the brief idea, and you’ll not even see pics of us anymore (padan muka :P) coz I need to be more secure about this from now on, knowing that my blog has been reached by some anonymous readers beyond my expectation. And I got some overwhelming responses for the pics of me & Az I put in few last post, and somehow it’s been like I am abusing our own privacy, though Az himself doesnt mind about it. And I know it’s my blog and my own space and I dont actually need to fear writing or displaying anything I want, yet I just realized that things have so much changed since era, where nobody was really aware about the blog existence then (where it was safer). Plus, I’m having a private blog where I write together with Az (yes, he does blog there too and am so much giddy about it XD) so I guess things about us will be gradually be more focused in there rather than on

2) My project proposal

Which I have not yet started doing =.= When I was meeting up with Dr Umi the other week, she gave me 2 weeks to do the journal readings and write the Lit reviews and project proposal.. but aiyooh.. where did my time go?? :( Really need to start working my ass off or I’ll be real doomed, expected to leave for USM end of this week. *sob* And I may not be having Kelisa in first few weeks there.. and maybe months :(

3) Crafty bags

Like these?? :) Head on to to see my new addition! :)) Tell me that you’re reader or follower you’ll get 10% discount! :D

4) I am Exabytes Happy Client winner!

Happier, in fact! Hehe. Will let you know more once I receive the voucher :P Now only the spoiler:

See you! ^_^

One Drop Perfumes!

Soooooooooooo….. these are the things I’m selling! I know the One Drop Perfumes have been everywhere in Malaysia and I’m the last person to actually realize they are some cool stuff that let you go crazily experimenting many different fragrances in a single box! And right now, I have got products in hands, and I need to sell these out!

ODP Big Boxes

ODP Small Boxes.

ODP Boxes and Bunny.

Please note that Bunny is NOT for sale in ANY circumstances. Anyways. The One Drop Perfumes are formulated alcohol-free pure perfume oil of fragrances inspired by International Designers’ perfume labels (Raplh Lauren, CK, Hugo Boss, Estee Lauder… and the list goes). The idea is to have as many of these famous fragrances without having to spend your hundred ringgits in each. What’s better, ODP is 100% perfume oil with no mixture of alcohol, white oil or water unlike Eau de Parfum, Eau De Toilette and the likes. Therefore as the name goes you need only “One Drop” and the fragrance lasts really long.

Inside the boxes.

ODP Big boxes (got Women or Men sets) go from RM40 per box with 8 miniature roll-on bottles in each (=2.75 ml) and RM45 for Celebrities’ Special Sets (Jennifer Lopez’s Glow, Mariah Carey’s M, David Beckham’s Instinct, and the likes). While ODP Small boxes (Women or Men sets) go from RM25 per box with 4 miniature bottles in each (=2.75 ml) and RM27 for the Celebrities’ Special edition. And recently, ODP has launched Youth Pack sets for younger peeps, pricing RM25 per box. *takes a breath* My dear friends and readers (including you who arrived to this post by Google search), I’m now inviting you to go and see my so-called business blog at :) Okay okay, it’s not completely done yet :( but I can’t wait to let everyone (especially you who visit me here) to take a look first and let me know if it’s okay and if possible, please provide your opinion about it. You know, I really have no sense or knowledge in business and I need your help, as internet users and buyers like how I can make the blog to be able to attract people at least to visit there and probably make a purchase. I know having good designed blog alone doesn’t promise you customer attraction.. but I don’t know how to make such advertising statements without sounding too weird (or desperate?).. you know, like, “You you and you! Come come come buy my products! It’s bloody cheap!” I need to have some approach and strategy…. which I have yet to think about =___= And as you see I’m doing it on free for now, so it’s a simple blog really, with no embedded shopping system like you have with those PHP-based online shops. It’s okay for local market though, as I only need them to do purchase simply by transferring money to my bank account (preferred online banking, ATM etc) and notify me about the products they need. And I’ll simply mail them the goodies. Only if I want to use PayPal for maybe my future international buyers, that’s why I wish I could design a better website with everything in one place, the shopping system included. Hmm but that’s a long way to go, and I need to see if I can get a customer first, and if everything is going fine I’ll consider getting a more sophisticated hosted website. Okay and let me continue studying PayPal now.. see yeh!
